Woodmancote Pre-school
With trained, enthusiastic staff and a wide variety of activities and resources at Woodmancote Preschool Group, all the children are given the opportunity to achieve their potential. For children aged 2-5 years. A safe environment is provided in which the children explore their own understanding of the outdoors.

Socialising is an important part of child development and we encourage our children to learn how to play with each other and respect each other. Within the framework Early Years Foundation, our aim is to provide such activities and equipment as will meet the children's needs.
Services
Woodmancote Preschool is located in the heart of Woodmancote, at the foot of Cleeve Hill and Nottingham Hill. We are lucky to have such lovely countryside on our doorstep and we aim to make the most of it when we can. The preschool building looks out onto the cricket field and we have a lovely play area on our doorstep which we take the children to most sessions.
Parents can opt for an 8.45am drop off and 3.00pm collection if this is their preference. With the exception of Tuesday children may be collected at 12.30pm, 1.15pm, 3pm or 3.30pm. Children staying until 1.15pm or for the afternoon session need a packed lunch. We offer these flexible pick up times to offer parents more choice and to help with school pick up times.
Woodmancote Preschool is staffed by an enthusiastic and dedicated team of childcare workers consisting of Joint Head Practitioners, Early Years Educators, Forest School Leader and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO). We decided to have a small team of staff who are in Preschool for several sessions each week.
Forest school sessions are on Tuesday and are for all our children. We also have Muddy Mondays where we take our children who do not attend on Tuesday out for a similar session. Both involve wellies and wet weather gear and allow the children to explore the outdoors and get muddy! They originated in Scandinavia during the 1950s, where they wanted to encourage children to appreciate nature and the environment.
Woodmancote Preschool is a charity and has to be run by a committee of trustees, most of whom are parents of current or recent preschool children. We cannot run without our committee members as they play a vital role in supporting staff and helping with fundraising. Our committee is very friendly. We meet roughly every 6-8 weeks, depending on upcoming events.
