As independent Funeral Directors, we enjoy more flexibility to enable us to personalise your funeral and offer competitive funeral packages.
A.G Smith are one of the oldest surving businesses in maldon. Like most Funeral Directors A.G Smith can trace its roots back to the building industry. It was traditional for building companies to offer a funeral service utilising their skilled craftsmen. David Smith moved to Maldon from Witham in 1890 and set up a cabinet making business in Beeleigh Road.
A.G.Smith Funeral Directors take pride in supporting our local community - sometimes through sponsorship or even offering a helping hand. The unmarked graves belong to people who died in Maldon Union Workhouse (what is now St Peter's Hospital) and The Fever Hospital (located within the Workhouse grounds) between 1873 and 1948.
We understand that losing a loved one presents many challenges. Our team will always provide impartial and sympathetic advice at the time you most need it, so please do not hesitate to call us.
