We provide private nursery care throughout the year for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. A large number of our parents live or work locally and we are very much a part of the community. We would welcome the opportunity to show you our facilities and introduce you to our dedicated and caring staff. We were delighted with the facilities and the care taken with our children at Children's Hour Nursery. We could leave them for the day knowing that they were in safe hands.
Services
At Children's Hour we work closely with our parents to provide the quality of care and early learning to meet their individual needs. We will provide you with lots of information about the nursery and our curriculum programme so you are fully involved in our planning and offer additional home learning opportunities as an option for parents.
The Practitioners at our nursery are a very important part of our success and this is reflected in the excellent feedback we get from parents. All staff are qualified and experienced in providing the highest standards of care and education for each and every child and we place a great emphasis on continuous training including first aid; food hygiene; child protection and curriculum development.
Our Busy Bumblebee Playroom (6 weeks to 30 months) is welcoming, safe and secure, with a large open plan playroom which provides a wide variety of activities and resources available for enjoyment and development. On joining the Nursery your Keyworker will manage the settling in process and find out all they can about the routine and individual needs of your child to support our 'home from home' philosophy.
Your child will have the opportunity to experience a range of activities which meet all key areas of the National Curriculum with the focus on literacy, numeracy and health and well being. They will be introduced to early reading, writing, maths and science skills as well as other activities such as creative play, music, drama, arts & crafts, baking and storytelling.
Our outdoor area is bright and colourful and provides a stimulating area for children to use; with all weather Astro and a woodland planting and growing area for the children to dig to their hearts content. Children enjoy learning outdoors daily from obstacle courses, races, sports in the garden to nature walks, number hunts and Forest Schools sessions in our local woods.
