Here at The Learning Zone, our aim is to develop the whole child. Our approach to childcare and early education is a holistic one, using a gentle approach with the understanding that each child is unique and child development is an individual and gradual process. An holistic approach to child development and well-being considers the whole child and all of the dimensions that interact together as a child grows up.
We are committed to the creation of conditions for learning that will enhance and facilitate your child's construction of their own powers of thinking through the synthesis of all the expressive, communicative and cognitive languages. We work with the Pre Birth to Three curriculum, the Curriculum for Excellence and Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) - these are National Guidelines for Pre School education.
The Learning Zone is situated conveniently in the Whiteinch area of Glasgow, just a few minutes from Glasgow's vibrant West End. We are privileged to be surrounded by wonderful parks, gardens and museums which we routinely take our children to on outings. This is an excellent 'green' space with lots of swans, ducks and other wildlife directly across from our nursery.
Our fees are based on the quantity of our staff team ratios and the quality of our curriculum and activities. All extra curricular activities, outings, language lessons and music and drama classes are included in our monthly fees. Fees are due on 28th of each month.
If for any reason your child cannot attend there are no refund of fees for days not attended and days cannot be exchanged, however extra hours/days may be available (with prior arrangement) at the usual rate.Please note that fees must be paid on time or you run the risk of your child care place being suspended.

All parents whose children attend the nursery are welcome to participate in The Learning Zone Parent's Association. The Association is a volunteer group of parents whose children attend The Learning Zone Nursery. the object of the Association is to advance the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and cultural well-being of the children who attend the Nursery.
