Brookland Nursery, established in 1991, is a family run nursery in a detached sandstone villa set in beautiful grounds with modern facilities.

Our mission statement is "Trusted by parents.loved by children" and encompasses our aims to provide quality care and education in a relaxed, caring environment by experienced nursery staff whilst working closely with parents and carers. Brookland Nursery is registered with the Care Inspectorate to provide childcare for 56 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years.
Services
You, as parents are the prime educators of your child in their earliest years therefore we welcome and encourage parent's involvement in the nursery. We have an 'open door' policy in place therefore a member of staff is always available to listen to your comments and suggestions. Effective communication between parents and nursery staff is important to provide the best possible care for your child.
Lynne is our nursery manager who has worked in childcare for over 15 years. Lynne has a BA in childhood practice studies as well as SVQ level 2, 3 and 4. She dedicates her time to the nursery and thrives on making sure the children reach their full potential. Lynne is very passionate about children led activities and taking their ideas forward!
We would always recommend that you view the nursery before making your final decision to place your child with us. If your required sessions are available we will issue you with the Enrolment Form and Consent Form for you to complete with your child's personal information. If your required days or sessions are unavailable you can elect to place your child on our Waiting List.
The Baby Room at Brookland Nursery provides warmth, fun and security for children under 2 years old. The room allows staff to provide the appropriate activities for your child's age group and developmental stage. It is important for children of this age to receive continuity of care between nursery and home therefore the nursery staff will ensure your child's familiar routine is maintained.
Positive Outcomes for Scotland's Children and Families is a document introduced by the Scottish Office, in association with Learning and Teaching Scotland to provide national guidance for all those whose work involves caring for babies and young children.

Our nursery staff work very closely with the Pre-Birth to Three document to provide the quality experiences children under 3 years old need: from feeding, cuddles and nappy changing to sensory experiences, story telling, outdoor play and music.
