The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a comprehensive statutory framework published by the Department of Education. In these unprecedented times we are all learning how to adapt to doing something that is different. Our wonderful Pre-School is set in the lovely location that is Cholsey village.
We are small friendly community Pre-School with a fantastic core team of practitioners. At the heart of our Pre-School are the children, they are who we aim to inspire everyday through fun child led activities, great teaching and following the EYFS. In addition to our team we are lucky to have a supportive committee that is made up by parents.

Services
One member of staff will be assigned as your child's key person who will keep you informed of your child's progress. I have been at Cholsey Pre-School for 14 years. I live with my husband and 4 children who keep me very busy. I am proud that Cholsey Pre-School is a caring and nurturing environment where children flourish, grow and develop into unique individuals.
The framework sets standards for development, learning and care of children from birth to five. These prime areas are those most essential for your child's healthy development and future learning. We have changed the way we look at the EYFS curriculum by following our Hygge experience and training; we are now looking and implementing 'planning in the moment.'
An AGM is held each year to elect members onto the committee. However, new members can join at any time. We need to make sure each year we have the correct ratio of parents with children attending the Pre-School in order to run. If we do not meet this there will be NO Pre-School. We are always looking for new members to join the committee - you can take a front row or back-seat role in helping with organisation.

Thinking about how the world is at the moment and the impact it could have on all of us was food for thought and we decided we wanted to change. We knew we wanted Pre-School to be a place of calm, a place where children and adults felt safe and secure, a place of fun learning and have the opportunity to slow down and work on our mental health.
