Opened in 1970, Ewelme Village Preschool is located in the thatched reading room of Ewelme Village Hall, in a beautiful and historic part of Oxfordshire. Ewelme Village Preschool has been awarded Outstanding in our 2015 Ofsted inspection. We draw on the different strengths of our team to provide fun and exciting opportunities for children to learn through play.

Services
We understand that one of the biggest steps for both parent and child is the first day at preschool. Our aim is to make that transition as happy as possible by providing a welcoming and home-like environment for your child and working in close partnership with parents/carers throughout a child's time in our preschool.
Ewelme Village Preschool is very proud of its energetic, caring and highly qualified professionals. All members are qualified to at least NVQ3, are registered with Ofsted, enhanced DBS checked and are paediatric first aid and safeguarding trained. We encourage all team members to continually update their skills through training.
The Village Hall door opens at 9:15, parents are able to wait in the foyer if they arrive earlier. Each morning three tables are set up: one with creative activities; one with maths/science activities and another with messy play. Children are invited to choose a further activity to put on the carpet.
Ewelme Village Preschool has been designed to inspire creativity, a love for learning and provide opportunities for many types of play. We have a fabulous two-storey home corner, fully equipped to encourage a wide range of creative role play among peers, allowing children's imaginations to run wild.
Ewelme Village Preschool follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory guidelines, which all early years providers must meet. It enables our exceptional staff to teach, develop and mentor your child through play. Most importantly, our staff are dedicated to working closely with your child to ensure they learn at their own pace and to fulfil their own potential.
