Blewbury Pre-School has been providing early years education for children since 1971. Located in the centre of the beautiful village of Blewbury near Didcot, we are very much at the heart of the community. We believe that a child has the best start to their early years education in an environment where they are happy, cared for and their individual contribution is valued by all.
We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage to children from 2 1/2 - 4 years, up to 5 sessions per week. Our aim is for the children to learn through play, so at each session we provide activities which promote learning, both indoors and outdoors. Blewbury Pre-School has been operating for 50 years. Recently we went through the process of changing our charity into a charitable incorporated organisation, or CIO.

Services
As a charity, the Pre-School is managed by a committee of volunteers, which is elected at the AGM each year, and we have a superb team of staff who work tirelessly to ensure the children receive the best care, preparing them for school life, both socially and educationally. We are a non-profit making organisation and rely on fundraising events, organised by the management committee and staff.
When your child starts at Pre-School they will be given a Key Person from amongst the staff team. This person helps them to settle-in, getting to know their likes and interests, attending to their personal care needs and being a link for your family and Pre-School. The Key Person will carefully record your child's development and progress to make sure that within the group your child's social, emotional and learning needs are met.
The EYFS will be the stage your child is in when they attend a setting between birth and the age of five. It describes how Early Years Practitioners, in Pre-School, will work with children and their families to support their learning and development, and how children are kept safe and cared for to ensure that they achieve the most that they can in the earliest years of their life.
