Upton Cross Primary School is a large, five form entry primary school based over two sites. Upton Cross is an inclusive and vibrant learning community where pupils are motivated and challenged in order to reach their full potential. At Upton Cross Primary School we value each and every member of our school community as individuals and respect their rights and freedom. We believe that these values are the fundamental building blocks for our children to grow and develop as responsible adults and British citizens. Our curriculum is designed to ensure that our children have the opportunity to learn and reflect on the British values that underpin our lives.
Governors are the strategic leaders of our schools and have a vital role to play in making sure every child gets the best possible education.
The core purpose of the Governing Body is to take an active role in both challenging and supporting the school ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction; holding the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff; and overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Please minimise disruption for other children and support your child's learning by ensuring they arrive at school on time each day. Equally, please be aware that it can be very distressing for children who are not collected on time at the end of the school day, so please make every effort to be at school for their year group end time each day.
Our CSR strategy gives us a way to put our values into practice every day, engaging everyone in the trust, helping to create a happier, more socially and environmentally responsible organisation. Learning in Harmony - we make sure we learn about sustainability, development, community and charity. Serving in Harmony - we do practical things to help other people in our communities, and we help good causes.
As part of our Collective Social Responsibility strategy within the Learning in Harmony Trust, Upton Cross has recently been collaborating with our fellow trust schools to create a charity booklet for the Australian Bush-fires charity appeal.
The booklet will be on sale soon and due to the overwhelming response and the volume of artwork created by the Learning in Harmony Trust community we have also created a digital version of the project, to allow us to celebrate all of the magnificent work that has been created in aid of Australia.
