Services
Welcome to our school website, which we hope will be informative and give you a flavour of the school's aims and achievements. Everything we do at Old Palace is intended to ensure that the children are happy at school, love learning and become the best that they can be.

We appreciate that every child has unique talents, abilities and preferences in learning and we constantly strive to help each child develop the learning skills they will need to prosper in later life.In doing so, we appreciate the need for effective partnerships with parents to ensure that learning continues beyond the school gate and have in place a range of initiatives to support parents in helping their child.
Please ensure that all children are accompanied to and from school by an adult. At the end of each school day, children are dismissed according to your child's collection list. If you need to add names or amend your child's collection list, this needs to be done in writing or you can complete a form in the school office.
Here you will find latest information on current vacancies at Old Palace Primary School. Old Palace Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
At Old Palace, our curriculum is designed to nurture healthy, reflective individuals, who possess the knowledge, skills, values and confidence to challenge themselves and to inspire others to be the best they can possibly be.

We provide an environment where pupils develop the essential skills for learning and feel secure to embrace challenge, by providing a range of first-hand experiences and carefully connected learning opportunities, which deepens their understanding and engages pupils of all abilities.
Our School Council was set up to enable the children here at Old Palace to have a say in the running of their own school. In this way, our children have a greater sense of belonging, become more confident when putting forward ideas and developing a greater understanding of the need to work co-operatively for the good of others.

I started at Old Palace on the day the School opened. I was 5 years old that was in 1951. The Head Teacher (Head Mistress as she was then) was Miss Greenaway. I stayed a until secondary age which was year 6 as it is now known.

I went to this school in the 1970's, I mostly hated it there. I was glad when I left and we moved away and I joined a better school elsewhere.
