Happy with the experience all round. Had searched up great malaysian places in London and was pleased with this result. The servers were incredibly nice especially when there was an accident with the bill. Only improvement could be stating that there is spice in the noodles as we were not expecting it but it was a welcome surprise

I would give 3-star to the food and 2-star to the service. Overall, a 2-star experience.
To start with, the chicken satay is 5/5. Like other reviews say, the satay sauce is probably the best. It is definitely the highlight of the meal. The roti was fresh and tasty too.
I ordered the Laksa. I totally agee with an other review. The laksa is BLAND. On top of that, it only had very little broth and after 3mins, there was barely any broth but all absorbed in the noodle, making the dish very dense and dry.
To salvage the Laksa, I asked for some broth and some chilli sause. The waitress seemed confused

A little gem near Paddington and Edgware Road. The Menu is 100% Halal. Simple restaurant with basic decor, and seating arrangements. The staff are really friendly, professional and polite.
The food overall is really good quality. We had Beef and Chicken Satay. Both delicious, the satay sauce is definitely the best I have ever had in UK. Chicken wings was absolutely delicious, could have had more! Main courses, really disappointed with the Nasri Goreng, it's ok but too dry. I have had this other restaurant that have been much better taste, that was the only disappointment of the visit. Apart from

This is the neighborhood we often stay in when we're in London. My husband spotted this restaurant with high reviews and thought we'd give it a try when my mother-in-law was visiting with us.
We ordered:
Chicken Satay
Nasi Gori
Nasi campur beef rendeng
Kway Teow Goreng
Roti canai
My mother-in-law doesn't like spicy food, so we tried to order things she would like as she isn't an adventurous eater. However, the only dishes she could eat were the roti and the chicken satay and the plain rice and veg in the Nasi Campur. I felt really bad as I didn't expect all the dishes

Enjoyed the starters the most here. Main wise I should have gone for the laksa I think. Looked a better option. Mine was fine just a bit avg.
Easy booking online. Seervice was quick. Decent value. Approximately £60 for two at lunch with starter main each , drink plus seervice. Good location to the station.

Mixed experience at this place which I have not been back to for at least 15 years.
Staff are polite and helpful. Service is very very good which is uncommon in Malaysian restaurants. This is probably because they have adapted themselves more to local tastes rather than being truly authentically Malaysian.
Menu is extensive and has most of the staples you expect to find in a Malaysian restaurant.
The highlight for us has to be the satay and in particular the peanut sauce. Probably the best you will find in London. The garlic chicken wings were also a favourite.
The Nasi Lemak was not bad and

My wife and I ate here tonight and found the food and service both excellent and a great atmosphere in the small premises. We ordered dishes we are used to eating during our annual stays in Penang and found the flavours here to be very authentic and the portions great. So good in fact we ordered the same again to go for tomorrow!

Me and my boyfriend turned up for a dinner reservation on a Sunday late afternoon, the restaurant was empty therefore we received a lovely service from the staff, it was out first time in the restaurant and we were really looking forwards to some real Malaysian food, food was fresh and very tasty. Definitely enjoyed every moment of it

This place does tend to get busy so making a reservation is best! I was flying solo and was able to enjoy a drink while waiting for my order to take away.
I was staying nearby and walked with my order. The food was still nice and hot when I got settled. The mee hoon goreng, medium spice, was mouthwatering! If you can handle spice, the medium will be fine, for those who aren't as into the spice, ya should ask for mild.
Service was friendly and the food was very, very good!

Greeted by a man who seemed excited to give people a hard time if they felt "entitled" enough to show up without a reservation. Yes reservations are nice to have for all parties involved but his demeanor was gross. Already knew my meal choice so it was a quick interaction. I got the Kari Laska Bee Hoon. Would have gladly exchanged more chicken for the tofu in it but it was still yummy. Was a tad bit spicy and I'm not sensitive to spice. The atmosphere was dim and relaxing. With a better host/server I would return

It was our first time in London and decided to pick this restaurant out of tens of halal spots. We were so excited to find a southeast asian one, legit one at that! We tried their satay, nasi lemak, kway tiew goreng, and laksa. It was amazing how authentic the food was... It tasted like I was eating this from a makcik home somewhere in Perak. Food service was amazing....always smiling and very patient when we had to narrow down our food choices. Would definitely recommend!

We were a group of 8 and took a chance on Satay House as another Malay restaurant close to our apart-hotel was shutdown for renovation...and we were not disappointed. A few blocks from the Paddington Station, we were quickly seated and the food was exceptional. The satay- both chicken and lamb were great. We ordered the Nasi Goreng, Nasi Goreng Kampung (high recommend), Roti canai (this comes with veg. dish called dalca and not the chicken curry broth as in US), Kari Ayam, udang brempah (excellent), Rendang (excellent).
Highly recommend this place!
