Primrose Cottage offers charming self-catering holiday accommodation in the heart of medieval Sandwich. It is perfectly suited for a quiet break for a couple or a family with older children. The cottage is just two miles from the sea and an easy walk from the mainline rail station. It is a grade 2 listed building, dating back to around 1625.

Despite its age, guests enjoy up-to-the-minute facilities. The cottage offers comfortable two-bedroom accommodation for up to four people. Garage parking is included, approximately three minutes walk away. We are dog friendly. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement and there is plenty for canine visitors to do.
Services
Canine visitors have plenty to do. They are allowed into many pubs and eating places, either indoors or in the gardens. We keep a list in the cottage. Better still, there are walks to enjoy in fields and orchards, on chalk downland and on sand and shingle. A favourite is across St George's golf links to Sandwich Bay.
The town's name is famous worldwide thanks to an event in 1762. The Earl of Sandwich was too engrossed in a card game to stop and eat. He therefore ordered his steak to be brought to him between two slices of bread, so creating the snack known as a sandwich. When you come to Sandwich, you won't be the first VIP visitors to the area!

A perfect holiday home, centrally located, clean and really comfortable.
Many useful things provided by the owners to make it a lovely home to stay in. A real home from home, and we love it

What a delightful little cottage. Clean, cosy, with a welcoming feel and bags of period character. It is clearly well maintained. The cottage is well situated for exploring the local area and further afield within East Kent. In fact, just a few steps from the front door we found lots of interesting little shops and a great choice of restaurants and eateries. We are already planning to return next year!

My fiancee & I stayed here for a week but left a day early. The cottage itself was very quaint but the list of unacceptable issues grew throughout our stay. Firstly there was a strong sour smell from the fridge, the washing machine had to be set on a boil wash as that too had a very strong odour. We awoke one morning to see the window cleaner looking in at us. The icing on the cake was there was an abundance of fleas which we removed 5 in one go from our fair-haired chalkie. All in all did not enjoy our stay at Primrose cottage and would not stay here again.
