Cheeky Chimps Pre-School is an established pre-school that offers childcare for children aged 2 - 11 years. We are a small rural setting based in the heart of Ashcott, and pride ourselves in creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for the children. We have been running for over 50 years, meeting the needs of pre-school children from Ashcott and the surrounding villages.
Whilst attending Cheeky Chimps Pre-School children have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities. All of these activities are based around the children's interests and build on what children already know. Our aim is for children to become decision makers who can independently move themselves forward in their learning to achieve their full potential.

To enhance the development and communication skills of all children in a parent involving community based group. To work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families. Our aim at Cheeky Chimps is to have a higher ratio of staff to children to provide a better quality of care.
Caroline is our Manager and the Qualified Early Years Teacher for Cheeky Chimps. With fifteen years of experience. She has developed a passion for play and providing an enabling environment where children have the opportunity to flourish by building on their own experiences and interests. Caroline is a Mum of two energetic boys who keep her on her toes at all time!.
Cultural capital is the essential knowledge that children need to prepare them for their future success. It is about giving children the best possible start to their early education. We make sure the children that leave Cheeky Chimps are prepared for future success as they move onto their next steps in the learning journey by striving for the following;.
We host a variety of after school clubs and activities to keep your children amused and active. For those not wishing to participate in extra curricular clubs and activities we also offer standard childcare every evening from 3-6pm. Your child will have the opportunity to play and relax before school using the facilities at Cheeky Chimps.

Led by a qualified TLE sports coach multiskills covers lots of skills and techniques needed for team games and general physical development, its great fun and is avaliable to all school aged children.

We moved to the area for the wrap around care that Cheeky Chimps provides and we have been delighted with the care, development, fun and opportunities it has given our children. In the 4 years we have been using it, it has gone from strength to strength, the team are amazing and always happy to spend time talking with you about your child's needs. I also really like the fact they have a system called Tapestry so they can email updates and pictures of what the children have been doing during the day. In fact my children love Chimps so much I often have to bribe them to come home!
