It was a nightmare. I was told I needed glasses and was forced to buy very expensive glasses that turned out to be reading glasses. I honestly just needed glasses for driving and I can't even use these for driving. So, I went back for a refund but they refused and ended up harassing me, not even giving back half of the money. They were yelling and refusing to admit it was their fault. It was as if them yelling was going to make what they did wrong right. Truly a RIP-off. Is there anyway I can receive a full refund?

I visited Neil Gordon’s for the first time today about an eye problem I was concerned about. I was seen by Mr Bryan and was immediately put at ease. My examination was very thorough and not rushed at all. Absolutely brilliant service and fantastic staff. I left feeling so much better and confident with what I was told the problem was. I will definitely be swapping from my usual impersonal highstreet optician and going here in future. I’ve already been recommending to family and friends. Thanks for the fantastic service.

I found out about Neil Gordon opticians after reading so many positive reviews online. I use to go to a different opticians just down the road but I was never happy with the service.
When I arrived at my appointment I was greeted by a friendly member of staff. I felt safe and cared for. I made the best decision of leaving previous opticians and I am definitely going to recommend this opticians to friends and family.

It was all perfect until...
I decided to go to Neil Gordon opticians in March of this year. I have been using specsavers until now.
I went to the East Ham shop and took the eye test. The person (a male worker) that took the eye test was very good and thorough with the examinations. Perfect service...
Before I actually took the test I explained to the receptionist that I wish to use my own glasses ( new glasses which I purchased from another shop ) and I just wanted them to fit lenses. She called one of the colleagues to show the glasses so they can check the suitability that lenses can be fixed

I've been at this opticians for many years' and suffice to say it's been a good experience. HOWEVER, recently paid a visit to get the arm of my glasses repaired as it had broken. My parents took my frame as they were in the area and repeatedly told it would cost £5 (note even after providing my details) for the repair, however their card was declined so they could not proceed with the transaction. I decided to go to make the payment and pick the repaired frame. Upon arrival the lady charged me £15 - when this was questioned she told me it was a brand new frame!! My parents

This has been my optician's since 1988. I have received excellent care here during this whole time. Suffice to say I have my whole family attend here whenever they need glasses, contact lenses or just a check up. Mr Bryan is absolutely fantastic and we are all very fortunate to have him as our optician. Extremely knowledgable, helpful and gives you the best care possible. Cannot recommend highly enough.
