At Martin Storey Opticians every patient is allocated a minimum of 30 minutes eye examination time, so you can relax and be safe in the knowledge that you have had a very thorough check up. The practice uses the very latest technology, including a hospital-grade laser eye scanner, in combination with tried and tested traditional eye test techniques to produce accurate prescriptions and thorough clinical evaluation of the eyes.
We are proud to possess a hospital grade laser Ocular Coherence Tomography Scanner (OCT) called a Heidelberg Spectralis with anterior segment imaging, glaucoma premium module and multicolour imaging. The scanner uses harmless laser diodes to 3D scan the retina and optic nerve. It is invaluable in detecting the treatable wet macular degeneration and also detects early nerve damage with glaucoma.

Whether you are new to contact lenses or an old hand we have the service to match. We can source all contact lens types and will advise on suitability and product appropriate to your needs. Importantly, a full aftercare service is available. Soft, astigmatism and varifocal lenses are all routinely fitted with a wide range of trial lenses in stock enabling early assessments.

I have tried many opticians in my time but none have come close to the level of service I received recently at Martin Storey Opticians of Bungay and Beccles. Outstanding professionalism with the friendly feel you get from an independent specialist. Honestly, I will never go anywhere else for glasses now that I know of these chaps. Fabulous.

My first visit here and the customer service was above and beyond already high expectations! (they’d been recommended to me) Lisa was friendly, helpful, patient, knowledgeable. She took her time assisting me to find suitable, attractive glasses.
My new glasses arrived fitted to a (faulty) prescription by Specsavers which I only discovered after attempting to wear them for a day or so. Upon my return to Martin Storey and to my relief, James, quickly discovered their error. Second time of getting my glasses from Mr Storey and both times excellent service. I had varifocal lenses and could see first time. The lenses are lovely quality and no returning because your eyes haven’t been tested properly or the glasses haven’t been marked properly. They have all the best equipment and give excellent service. I definitely won’t be using anybody else. Thank you to you all at beccles.

Awesome customer service. Arrived in Norfolk for Christmas with family - left contacts at home - disaster - called up on the off chance they had my prescription in stock - no answer as closed for Christmas but was called back by man who had nipped in on his day off - sorted me out and means I can drive home later this week!
