I have been using Moss & Leakey for over 15 years (Norwich Branch) and they have always been excellent. Both in terms of products and service levels.
Giving them 1 star due to poor covid procedures is a little unfair in my opinion as a long-term customer.

I wouldn't dream of going through the door at the present time. No Covid 19 precautions apparent at all. As opticians they say the staff don't have to wear masks. This is true, but they are recommended to. The staff do not care less. They are happy to just carry on playing their Candy Crush on their mobile phones without a care for the safety of the community that they work in

I recently bought frames which cost approximately £250 and then discovered that my hair trapped in the hinges, breaking off when removing the glasses. I had never had this problem with any type of glasses before, not even off the rack cheap sunglasses, so I contacted the shop and was asked to bring them back in to have the frames examined. After a very quick inspection I was then told they were not at fault, but I then later discovered that a tiny piece of cellotape placed over the hinge corners stopped my hair from trapping. First visit to Moss and Leakey having been recommended to see them by a friend. Found all the staff to be welcoming and polite to us .
Our appointment was on time and the test was thorough. The offer of a cup of coffee in a china cup on a chilly day and the beautiful building we were in all made for a very pleaaant experience, far and above that offered by the big high street optician chains
