Our plans were to go for a walk and have a break @ In the Brook. We were greeted abruptly by a pit bull (2 legged nit 4), not a friendly welcoming. Our assumption in the end they were close as we told it was private property. At no point was there sign post of the sort. How does one have a cafe with such venom on the way great walkers on a sunny autumn day.

A nice location but unfortunately the food was not good. Small portions and not cooked well. (Boiled mushrooms, watery beans, toast with no butter). The café looked like it needed a good clean.
At £25 for 2 breakfasts it felt like a bit of a rip-off. With only 2 tables occupied, the service was slow, unwelcoming and rude. Judging by the owners responses on Google reviews, this feedback will be ignored.

A beautiful location, quiet with amazing views, just a short walk into town for easy access to Bruton’s shops and restaurants. Accommodation is simple but high quality with good bathroom facilities (strong shower), practical kitchen corner and excellent WiFi. Very warm welcome for our dog. Friendly hosts and delicious breakfast menu.

A fabulous place to stay in Bruton- you feel as though you are in the deep countryside, but you can easily walk in to town in 15 minutes. The absolute best of both worlds! Really charming and comfortable accommodation with lovely views of the surrounding hills.Generous breakfast at the on-site cafe is included, making life incredibly easy and convenient. Sophie and Pat were so helpful with tips for what to do during our stay in the area, and were great hosts. My friends and I had a wonderful stay.
