Great food, and service..only thing I would say is check your allergies with staff before ordering. Some of there lovely food may not have ALL the ingredients listed. However they are only too happy to accommodate to your request.

Fantastic evening meal. Excellently cooked food, with a few different elements that made particularly interesting! Particularly pleased with the host who was careful to ensure that we were comfortable, well looked after and enjoying our experience. We sat in the outside area which was lovely in the summer evening, with heaters for warmth as needed.

Lovely hotel and great service
Food was great................the flat iron steak was fantastic!
Rooms where nicely decorated, furnished well and comfortable my only comments would be you can hear the toilets and showers in the other rooms, the rooms are very warm and if you leave the window open the passing traffic at speed is noisy. Granted a large air con unit was available in the room but this had to be vented through the window. The rooms lacked in quality and attention to detail for a five star rating and the price was high.

Our drinks tab was merged with a tab belonging to someone else. The man behind the bar was not very friendly and unhelpful. In the end my friend just paid it, but it was rather disappointing.

Nice place and nice staff unhurried service and nice food. Disappointed with my starter of scallops as only had 2 small scallops at £10 not impressed.
Garden seating nice but struggled to hear friends talking due to some machinery on site.
Some very good art work inside for sale.

Very slow service.
Two tiny scallops for £10, was rather poor. 4/5 scallops would be good. Mainly rocket?
Two bone rack of lamb, in fact it was two tiny chops. A trio would have been good.
Flavours on mains were very good.
Flavours on Puddings average.
Ice cream was more of half and half sorbet.
Overall ok..... But competition will soon explode.

Great place, good food, disappointing service as our waitress had little knowledge. Asked her to check what some of the menus items were and one of her responses included "and it comes with some kind of dressing"! Not what you expect from a 5 * hotel.

This was a very quaint and pleasant little experience and visit. I went for an interview, the owner was very welcoming and greeted me with politeness. The manager was very lovely to speak to and she made you feel very at ease even though it was an interview process.
The rooms available to stay at are very comfortable, pleasant and tidy. Where it can suit anyone from all ages and anyone with any type of personal reasons such as disable etc.
Overall its a lovely little place, situated in a lovely little village and it has a very beautiful bar, restaurant and outdoor area to relax and enjoy tike

Welcoming, cosy, lovely garden, good home cooked food, attractive comfortable accommodation. Its all what they say on the website and its all true.

Just did an overnight stay having been in Wincanton in the day. Got there late (10pm) and the kitchen looked like it was closing down, so was expecting the usual chefs finished but no, they set up to proper places settings and full menu as usual. Great rooms and dont miss the Full English in the morning.

Avoid the local cider unless you can handle the stuff
