The Island Residential Care Home is situated on the Isle of Sheppy. It is within walking distance of the seaside, local shops, amenities and local places of interest. The Island Residential Home is a family owned registered care home. Having been established for over 30 years in the community, we take pride in providing good quality care to our elderly or physical disabled residents.
We welcome residents for both long and short term convalescence and holiday stays. Visitors are warmly welcomed to visit. The care home is very spacious and well laid out with a large garden, aviary and patio areas. There are single and double bedrooms which can be provided fully furnished.

The Island Residential Care Home has been established at its current location for over 30 years. As a privately registered care home, our manager and staff team provide a consistent standard of care at all times and are committed to sustaining the personal wellbeing of all residents. Being family owned, we have created an environment comfortable, friendly, cheerful and safe environment.
Our aim is to offer our residents the opportunity to enhance their quality of life by providing a safe, manageable and comfortable environment. In addition, support and simulation are given to help maximize residents' physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacity. The right of every individual to be left alone or undisturbed and free from intrusion or public attention into their affairs.
The Care is provided by a team of dedicated staff who are trained & qualified to meet the individual needs of each resident. The team consists of an experienced Care Manager, National Vocational Qualified carers and others including: cooks, laundry assistant, cleaners and maintenance staff. Most of our Care Team is recruited from the local area and many have worked with us for years.
The Island Residential Care Home is in an idyllic location close to the seaside, shops, local amenities and places of local interest. There is ample parking and visitors are welcome at any time. Everything is tailored for older and younger adults respectively.
The two story building has allowed us to dedicate the upper floor to those, who are sixty five or over and the ground floor is tailored to the younger adults between the age of eighteen and sixty five.A lift ensures easy access to both floors. We aim to ensure that each resident enjoys the highest quality of life with indipendance and individual choice being promoted.

Residents have been making the most of the recent great weather and spending time in the garden fishing for ducks! We're not entirely sure who won though. We have a lovely garden area at our home and residents have been making these amazing windmills to help decorate it! Residents have been making the most of the fine weather recently and enjoying the garden area that we have at our home!
