L W P Homes
In all of our care homes our aim is to provide the best care and accommodation within a safe and loving Christian community. Designed for independent living within a Christian community, it is the ideal place for you to enjoy your retirement. With all our accommodation, residents are encouraged to embrace a Christian lifestyle and to take an active interest in their local church, the local community and the life of the Home.

We offer an excellent quality of life at a price that represents good value for the high level of care and accommodation provided. Christian family values are at the heart of our organisation with daily prayers and regular celebrations of Holy Communion. We welcome you and your family to come and view any of our care homes.
Services
We endeavour to provide the highest quality of care and to do this we give priority to a number of areas relating to the operation of the Home and the services we provide. We recognise that every prospective resident should have the opportunity to choose a Home which suits their needs, enthusiasms and abilities.
Westerley Christian Care homes give high quality care and support to people with diverse levels of need. Our fees vary and are based on an assessment of the individual care needs. Some people may be eligible for financial help towards the cost of care, this is determined on an individual basis. Our Home Managers will be able to discuss these matters further with you.
There are many ways support and care can be provided. But deciding which solutions are right when caring for older people is not easy. There are many advice services available that aim to help identify the right care services for older people at the right time. The web links provided are for information purposes only and are in no way associated with LWPHomes.
Gainsborough House is pleasantly situated overlooking allotments and fields on the western edge of Milborne Port, 2 miles east of Sherborne in Dorset. Originally a Victorian villa with stabling, it became a Christian Retirement Home for Christians of limited means in 1977, with 10 residents mostly accommodated in the converted stables.
All denominations are now welcomed into residence if they support the fundamental values of life in a Christian community. The Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide accommodation and care for 28 residents (category OP). It is not registered to provide nursing care. Residents are normally accommodated in single rooms but a double room can be provided for married couples, subject to availability.
