The Bowl Inn
We are a Free House. All of our ales are locally sourced from Kent. We are also very passionate about keeping our ale to best possible condition. Our passion hasn't gone unnoticed with CAMRA good beer guide recognition from 2007 to 2021. We also won Ashford, Folkestone & Romney Marsh CAMRA pub of the year 2012, 2017, 2018 & 2019, which was lovely news!

We were also runners up for Ashford, Folkestone & Romney Marsh CAMRA pub of the year in 2016 and 2020 too, which again was a great accolade to receive! Masks are optional. However we ask you to be respectful when ordering at the bar and walking inside of the pub to keep staff and customers safe. Pub seating is gradually getting back to normal but there are still no bar stalls to enable customers to order their drinks safely.
Services
On the North Downs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), 581 feet above sea level, you will find The Bowl Inn, a 1740's public house serving only the finest local Kentish ales, fine wines and local spirits. The warm fires roar during the winter months and the beautiful beer garden blooms in spring.

What a great little pub , Probably the friendliest owners we have ever come across in any pub that we have visited, we had the ploughmans lunch which was really tasty and put together with pride , also a good selection of beers , and what all pubs need in winter a wood fire , what a gem will definitely be going back 👍

Great little pub in picturesque surroundings. Just a 45 minute walk through the country from our campsite, a welcoming pint of ale was a perfect way to spend Saturday afternoon.

Very friendly and welcoming pub featuring local beer and very generous local food. Cosy bar and excellent beer garden out the back. Cash only but don't let that put you off.

Called in spontaneously on a hot June day when it was 33° outside. Once I'd come to terms with the 'cash only' policy by finding a fiver under the seat of my car, the pub was fantastic. Quiet and cool inside which suggested cosy in winter. Well looked after beers and lagers at reasonable prices. Beautiful beer garden out the back that is literally a flower-bordered garden, offering the choice between sunshine and shade. Loved it.
