Today was our first visit and we're absolutely impressed with the friendly service & the exceptional food!
Thank you to the wait/bar staff for the blanket to help warm my cold legs, for sitting us near the log burner & being so good humoured and friendly!
So many wonderful choices on the menu too - totally spoilt for choice!
Hats off to the chef and team for our perfectly cooked & quality seabass and steak meals.
The ice cream and plum brulè were gorgeous too & bigger desserts than we expected - ice cream soft and creamy, plums perfectly poached under the creme brulè. Food heaven 😋 Thank

Brilliant beer, well kept, out of the way - good parking, great food, what more could you ask for? Kent pub at its finest... It's not a gastro-pub, not meant to be, doesn't need to be, sometimes you just want a pin to be a pub!!

Stopped over for 1 night prior to catching the eurotunnel, unfortunately the Dartmouth bridge closure meant we were too late to get any food but it looked lovely and idealic. The campsite was great for a 1 night or a week

Lovely pub at the end of a great walk. Good food too. Just a shame they only had a selection of 2 ales on tap. Had to sit outside due to Covid so didn't get to experience the interior. Staff were very friendly. Hope to go again and make it a 5 star.
