We actively encourage the involvement of family and friends and consider the respect and maintenance of their privacy, dignity, independence, security and confidentiality of utmost importance Residents, or the their relatives who might be interested in coming to the Argyle Residential Home are encouraged to sample the atmosphere and level of service.

Day-care is often arranged whilst waiting for a vacancy. This gives the resident time to get to know the staff and adjust to new people and surroundings. A four week trial period on both sides is always given before taking permanent residency. The Argyle residential care home is located in the beautiful spa town of Buxton in the Peak National Park of Derbyshire.
Services
In 1997 we bought The Argyle, which was a residential hotel at the time. Since then we have carried out extensive renovation work to register it as a 28-bed residential home for the elderly. We feel the home is a very friendly and pleasant place to be, and work hard to keep it that way. We have two girls and one boy Samuel, plus two lively dogs.

The Argyle is a spacious, fully fire protected home with large, airy and warm bedrooms. All of which are en-suite. Bedrooms can be provided fully furnished, but residents who wish to make their bedrooms look like a home-from-home are welcome to bring their own furniture and in most cases can have a say in the colour scheme of the room.
Mrs. Ann Andrew is the manager and proprietor, and will gladly assist residents with any worries that they might have. We currently have over 30 staff working at The Argyle for the resident's well-being and comfort. There are two deputy managers and six senior managers, who see to the daily running of The Argyle.
I would like to express appreciation to all the staff for the care and kindness shown to my aunt, Dorothy. As you know Mum passed away peacefully yesterday and it was good to be with her to the end! I just want to know proud you should be of Trish, Katy and all the team at the Argyle for their care, compassion and love and professionalism, through mums 7 years or so with you even more so in the last few months, days and hours of her life!

I have a close relation in the care home and I visit regularly. Every time I visit I always see happy staff and residents. My Aunts room is clean and homely just like home from home. I see that her needs are met and she doesn’t complain. If I ever needed assisted living it would be the care home for me.
