Henny Veterinary Surgery
At Mulberry Court Veterinary Surgery, we offer a complete package of health care and advice. We welcome cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries. For dentistry, other species will be considered. The veterinary surgeons and all staff at Mulberry Court Veterinary Surgery always strive to provide clients and their pets with the most complete, valued and quality facilities and veterinary care.

We ensure that our veterinarians, vet nurses and support staff will do everything necessary to provide the best possible care for your pet. We nurture your pet like we would our own - with love, compassion and the very best in medicine, surgery and general health care.
Services
Gerhard Putter has a long-standing special interest and skill in dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the European Veterinary Dental College and accepts dentistry and oral surgery referrals. Gum and mouth disease occurs in 80% of dogs and cats older than 3 years and is also a common problem in rabbits and rodents.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
As pet owners, we endeavour to make sure that our faithful companions stay fit and healthy, enabling them to live to an old age. Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as us and at some point, we will have to prepare to let them go. Sadly, few of our pets pass peacefully away in their sleep. Therefore, we all wish to do the right thing at the right time, fulfilling our responsibility and commitment in their final days.
Diabetes is the body's inability to control the normal level of glucose (blood sugar). Glucose provides the cells in the body with energy they need to live and function normally. Cells can only absorb glucose from the blood in the presence of the hormone insulin, which is produced by the pancreas. Sometimes the pancreas becomes unable to produce enough insulin, or the cells in the body fail to respond normally to insulin.
Gastric dilation or 'bloat' is an emergency condition where the stomach dilates with gas and can twist on itself. You may see this condition referred to as a 'GDV': standing for Gastric Dilation and Volvulus. The dilated, bloated stomach causes extreme pain for the dog, who will often pace around, whine, burp or retch, trying to relieve the pressure out of the stomach.

Lovely vets - unfortunately owned by a massive corporate called IVCEvidensia. This corporate is buying up vets like there's no tomorrow. After Henny Vets (now called Mulberry Vets) charged us double for the medication our dog will need for life in order to continue living- the UK director of IVC has informed me that its okay for their vets to charge these extortionate prices.
We have now - thank heavens found a wonderful privately owned vet practice that cares more about the animals than making a huge profit.
DONT PATRONISE VETS OWNED BY THIS COMPANY BECAUSE ALL THEY'RE INTERESTED IN IS MAKING

Overall I have only had good experience with Henry veterinary, I have had no issue scheduling appointments and they always seem to be able to get me in to see a vet in a timely manner. The front desk assistants are always happy and just add to the overall positive experience. I have been with the vets for a number of years now. The entire staff are very welcoming, helpful and caring and I wouldn't go anywhere else 😁👍
