Paws Colchester Veterinary Centre
Paws Colchester Veterinary Centre welcomes all pets and their owners. We offer truly personal care to all of our patients and clients. Maryanne, Aimee and our other highly qualified team are passionate about our patient's welfare and health. As we are a small team you are able to see the same member of staff at each visit if you choose.

We understand that coming to the Vets can be a stressful time for some owners and pets so we aim to be as gentle and kind at all times with your loved ones. Diffusers are used in the practice which release pheromones to relax your pets and we have covers available in reception to cover our cats in baskets that may be anxious.
Services
Vision: To grow a business that supports our community and provides quality care and clinical excellence for your pets. We strive towards the wellbeing of our patients, our clients and our team. Mission: To provide a comprehensive professional service where we invest in the state of the art facilities in order to better enable the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.
We have an ultrasound machine that enables us to scan for preganancy, bladder stones, liver disease, cystic kidneys and other conditions. Generally we can do this conscious but occasionally we may need sedation if the patient is restless. Echocardiography is a way of monitoring and assessing the heart.
Vets Now is a dedicated out of hours emergency service with their own emergency veterinary staff. They work from Penrose and Partners premises in Highwoods when that practice closes. As it is difficult for our staff to work 24 hours a day we work with Vets Now to provide the best care for your pets.
We've partnered with Video Vets Now so you can speak to a vet from home or out and about - 7 days a week between 8am and 11pm. Consults are 10 mins and cost 24. If your pet needs to be seen by us or Vets Now, your original 24 payment will be refunded. We partnered with Video Vets Now to help you get the advice and reassurance you need, wherever you are.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!

Had to find a vets in an emergency, even though they were fully booked they saw my dog Ralph for which I was really grateful. Always friendly and great with Ralph so no complaints there. Was quoted incorrectly for some eye ointment which was a bit annoying!

Good but expensive. £108 just for the consultation, then for listening to his heart, feeling his abdomen and taking temperature came to another £118. Then 90 pence for some paracetamol. Good job he is insured.

Fantastic friendly staff who are prepared to go above and beyond. They recently treated my cat who had become (is) critically ill. I was kept fully informed at all times and whatever the outcome I know that they did everything possible for my furbaby.
