Mayne Veterinary clinic is a small independent veterinary practice based in Colchester. We're on Bergholt Road near North Station. We've been making pets feel better since 1975, and that's just one reason why we're such a popular family vet - we've looked after generation after generation of pets for local people.
That special continuity of care and our famously warm personal service mean we get to know you and your pet well. And we make every effort to make sure you see the same team member each time you visit, something that makes you feel even more comfortable and cared for. It's all about compassion and kindness, which is exactly what you need when your beloved companion is ill or has an injury.

My name is Charlotte and I run the clinic alongside my husband Keith. I'm a veterinary surgeon and joined the clinic as a new graduate way back in 2004 when the delightful Mrs Vivian Long took me under her wing. I spent the best part of the next eight years developing my skills and embracing. I'm Emma and I'm a veterinary surgeon at Mayne.

The dreaded day finally came when I had to take our cat to the vets for the first time & I can thankfully say they were amazing from start to finish, even during the current lockdown 2.0. I made numerous phone calls in between visits to clarify various things whilst our cat was at home and they didn't hesitate to help. I highly recommend :)

We had to use this incredible vets in an emergency some weeks ago, I absolutely love them and have now transferred all 3 of my dogs into their care.
Both Charlotte and Keith are wonderfully kind and full of empathy and support,
Charlotte has a very welcoming and soft voice and shes just so gentle.
I feel confident and happy to bring our dogs in, knowing they will always go above and beyond to help them and us.
