Services
Riversbrook Veterinary Group is a small animal practice based in Ipswich. We have two surgeries: the main surgery at Cliff Lane and the branch surgery at Ellenbrook Green. The practice was established in the early 19th century by a local family of farriers, horse doctors and insurers. Both of our branches are accredited by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and the Cliff Lane branch is an approved training centre for veterinary nurses.
Here at Riversbrook Veterinary Group, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgeries we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call your usual surgery on 01473 216042 (Cliff Lane) or 01473 686845 (Ellenbrook) and you will be advised what to do next. Heard a lot of bad stories about this place. I'd had no dealing's with them until we needed an emergency vet, asked if were registered with a vet, said yes but they already have 2 emergencies they're at. They then said, "No, we aren't taking on anyone new" i said i just want an emergency vet, was told "sorry can't help you, you're pet not our problem" We did find a emergency vet in the end.
