I would like to welcome you on behalf of the staff, governors and pupils to Brockton C.E Primary School's page. We are proud of the family atmosphere at our school. As soon as you walk through the front door we hope that you will feel this atmosphere and see that the children are happy, secure and well motivated.
They are encouraged to be kind to one another and to care for their surroundings. Children come to us with different needs and every child is an individual, with differing abilities. We are careful to match the work to each child's capabilities; always seeking to help them reach their full potential in every aspect.

Services
Promoting British values is an integral part of our school culture, in order to ensure that the children leave our care prepared for life in modern Britain. The following is a statement of how Brockton CE Primary School communicates these values in practice. Teamwork is modelled by staff and constantly and consistently encouraged in the children.
Each booklet provides information for parents and carers on the end of year expectations in English and mathematics for children in our school. These expectations have been identified as being the minimum requirements your child must meet in order to ensure continued progress throughout the following year.
Across the schools of The Edge Schools' Federation pupils with Special Educational Needs are identified with regard to the 2014 'Code of Practice' and the 'Disability Discrimination Act'. The SEND policy is updated annually and the special needs provision is reviewed in order that all children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, which is differentiated to meet their needs and ensures inclusion.
Lets Dine have been supplying healthy meals to the children of The Edge Schools' Federation for some years. They have received a number of awards for their quality of service and standard of healthy school meal provision. All children in Key Stage 1 are entitled to a free school meal that's currently a saving of 2.40 per day (12.00 per week).
Primary PE and Sport Premium is an initiative that aims to help increase and improve the PE and sporting opportunities for children. It was first provided in the 2013/14 academic year and the current government has pledged to continue this funding until 2020. PE and Sport Premium funding is provided jointly by the Department for Education, the Department for Health and Culture and the Department for Media and Sport.
