At Hollinswood Primary School & Nursery we aim to develop every child's skills, knowledge and attitudes in order for them to become confident, independent and inspired learners. We encourage the children to have high expectations and to contribute towards, reflect on and shape their role as learners - in addition to being responsible members of the school, the local and the wider community.

Through a context rich curriculum that goes beyond the school walls, children are given the confidence to aim high and to be the very best that they can be. We see excellence in teaching and a love of learning as the key to succeeding in life. In a supportive, positive and caring environment our teachers and our learners are fully committed, focused on the task ahead, passionate in overcoming obstacles and alive for a challenge.
Services
Children will enter our school either at the start of the academic year in our Reception classes, or for other year groups through the In-Year Transfer process. If you are offered a school place by T&WC Admissions team, please contact the school to confirm acceptance of the place. Parents will attend a meeting with the School Business Manager where all key information is exchanged to support the smooth induction of your child.
We are pleased to announce that we can now accept payments online for items such as dinner money, school visits, PE T-shirts, and tuck etc. Using a secure website called ParentPay you will be able to pay online using your credit or debit card. ParentPay will be our preferred method of making payments to school.
The Let's Dine team are committed to working in partnership with schools to provide a healthy and nutritionally balanced meal in an enjoyable lunch time experience. They ensure our menu is in line with Government food standards, working closely with us to design a menu to suit our needs. Pupils are often involved in helping to create the menu, giving them a greater choice of what appears on the menu.
We encourage all children to wear a school uniform - we like to see children looking smart and ready to learn in appropriate school clothes. Grey shorts/trousers, White short sleeved shirts or White/Forest Green polo shirts (Boys);. Children are expected to take pride in their appearance and jeans and tracksuits are not allowed.
A safe and warm childcare environment for children to attend before the start of the school day. A healthy breakfast is also provided with the childcare. Breakfasts (a choice of cereal and milk, fruit, toast and topping, fruit juice, milk or water) is served until 8:30am. After this time the club will provide a play environment only;.
