St Andrew's CE Primary School promotes and maintains a calm and friendly atmosphere, but also has a commitment to enabling children to work hard to reach their full potential. We also work hard to provide a stimulating and inspiring learning environment, in which children feel happy, valued and safe.

If you wish to gain a fuller picture of our school I am always proud to show visitors around during the working day and encourage an open door ethos. If you would like to visit our school, please contact the school office. At St Andrew's CE Primary School we work together to teach and inspire all our children to be the best that they can be.
Services
Shropshire Council Shire Catering Services provide school meals at St Andrew's CE Primary. Parents can find information regarding Free School Meals on the Shropshire Council Website. Many parents do not realise that dinner monies MUST be paid in advance and the account is to be in credit to purchase a dinner when required.
The quality assurance of tuition are dealt with by the Music Service. The school supports the work of the service, arranges timetables and provides the administration. Children are taught in groups of up to 10 depending upon their experience and age. It is usual for children who are starting to learn how to play to be placed in the larger groups.
At St. Andrew's CE Primary School, we are committed to serving its community and surrounding areas. We value the diverse ethnic backgrounds of all pupils and families; therefore, we undertake a variety of events and lessons to celebrate these. We have found this approach to be enriching for all parties as it teaches respect for the differences in our community and the wider world.
The DfE provides each school with a sum of money entitled Pupil Premium which must be used to provide appropriate teaching and learning programmes for those children in most need. The following document outlines the money that this school has received and the way in which it will be used to support a number of initiatives.
West Mercia Police and Shropshire Council support our school with the Safer School initiative. We are an accredited 'Safer School' and proud of our Safer School sign and certificate. The accreditation is reviewed every two years. The initiative is a holistic, practical and realistic approach to school security and personal safety.
