Swaffham Veterinary Centre has been developed by Liam Manson, Jon Mills and Helen Manning. Vets, Liam and Jon have both practised in East Dereham their entire careers and have a wealth of experience in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. Helen has a vast knowledge of both vet nursing and practice management.

The practice has been designed to make you and your pet's visit or stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Our spacious reception area was designed to be bright and airy and offers separate waiting areas for dogs and cats to minimise stress. We stock a large range of Royal Canin lifestage and veterinary diets and advice on these can be obtained from any of the qualified members of staff.
From the smallest Chihuahua to the largest Great Dane, we see all breeds of dogs at Swaffham Veterinary Centre. Our spacious reception area and longer consultation times mean that our canine patients aren't kept waiting with other animals for long periods which helps avoid excitement and stress. A pot of treats behind the reception desk is always full to keep your dog or puppy looking forward to their next visit!
Cats are not small dogs! As such we recognise that a trip to the vets is often a very stressful experience for your feline family members. Swaffham Vets has been recognised as a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic by the International Society of Feline Medicine.
We have a number of special facilities specifically designed for cats and kittens from a separate waiting area, a separate cat ward with cat friendly kennels and the use of Feliway pheromone products to make a visit as stress free and comfortable as possible.Cats are vaccinated against viruses that cause severe flu-like symptoms, Feline Leukaemia virus - a cancer-inducing disease - and against Panleukopaenia virus - a fatal gastroenteritis.

For the last two years my pug was registered with this vets, no problems, then recently he went in to have a straightforward claw cut, this went very wrong by one of the vets and with this I went to the RCVS, making a claim about the vet herself as well as the practice manager Helen Manning, The vets complaint was for gross misconduct, The practice managers complaint was for professional misconduct as her manner and tone was absolutely appalling, unsympathetic, and damn right rude. Avoid this vets!

We can't recommend Swaffham Vets enough. Our 9-week old Springer was taken suddenly ill and it was only due to their prompt response, amazing staff and care that he survived after months of treatment. We have 3 spaniels and are regular visitors. We not even consider going anywhere else and recommended friends to change as well.
Professional, caring & human. Our regular vet Megan was a star! We have a great treatment package with them and insurance too.
