We are a small animal practice in Dereham, first established in 1919. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open seven days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
We also offer free parking for clients at the surgery. To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.

Larwood & Kennedy Veterinary Surgeons is situated on Wellington Road in Dereham, a busy market town in Norfolk. The veterinary practice was established in 1919 and has cared for companion animals in the local area ever since. The practice has had a number of partners but the most recent both retired when the practice became part of the CVS family in 2013.

We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01362 692508 and you will be advised what to do next. We provide our own emergency out of hours service. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact us through the normal practice number.
Our practice is an RCVS accredited Small Animal General Practice, welcoming dogs, cats, birds, exotics, backyard poultry and small mammals. Had a very poorly gerbil that needed to be put to sleep, £100 pounds was the quoted price! Rang the grove vets down the road and they got him in straight away, within half a hour and dispatched him, very professional and have the correct ethos, animal best interests paramount not money!! And they only charged me £33. What a massive price difference.........

Our dog and cats love the walk down to the vets because they know they will be treated kindly, softly and with knowledge. We have Healthy Pet Club and it all works well through L and K. The vets and staff are always chirpy and show a great deal of empathy when things are difficult. Great with our dog and cats.
