Terrific course. It's got everything to test your game. Played it blowing a hooley, great fun. Course is in wonderful condition and the greenkeepers' attention to detail is first class.
Staff in the clubhouse are friendly and helpful.
Would thoroughly recommend.

Following reading and hearing a lot of good reviews about this course, I booked and paid for a round at Royal Porthcawl with my girlfriend.
The excitement of playing such a well thought of course was extremely short lived however, as whilst the scenery was simply stunning and the majority of the course was in decent condition, the greens and surrounding areas were simply awful.
The greens were diseased, and were very bobbly as a result of these patches. Also, the grass on the greens was extremely long, due to the club letting them grow out to recover from heavy green maintenance which was carried

Fab day out by the sea without the expense of having fun without going to the shopes that are all around sea front

Just brilliant golf course that ought to be on the Open rota. I've played all the Open courses and this is more than a match for most of them. Stunning views as well and very friendly welcoming staff can't praise it enough.

Rest Bay beach, a beautiful place where the sands meet the rocks. The children can have a safe swim in the pools created by the tide and you can also pick a perfectly shaped rock, to paint at home :)

Great along by rest bay as they have a easy walking boardwalk as you can see in the photo, its great for people who have walking difficulties and wheel chair friendly and a lot of lovely benches to sit and take in the view.
There are toilets a mobile food and drinks they are building a new visiting centre should be finished this summer..
Car Park is pay and display disable free.
Car Park shuts at 7pm but if your car is still in there you can still get out after that time.
There is a RNIL there.
Great beach for surfers and body boarders but the sea at Rest Bay does have strong rip currents

Possibly one of the best courses the UK has to offer. Sure, it's a bit steep for a green fee, but we'll worth it. Old school rules with excellent and personal service. Club members there that I spoke to we're extremely nice and welcoming.
I'll definitely play here if I'm in Wales again

An absolutely amazing place. It has to be one of the best courses in the UK. A tough test of golf in the wind but the course was in superb condition. The professional and bar staff were very friendly as well.

Fantastic links course. Demanding but fair, just don’t venture any further than the semi-rough.
We stayed in the Dormy House and after a great Welsh Breakfast, enjoyed a Sunday morning tee time and some very generous weather. It was late October and the perfect conditions coincided with Wales v France, so the course was maybe a little quieter than usual.
We had great service from the team in the clubhouse and from the pro shop and used the excellent practice facilities before going out.
The course itself was in great condition, greens were true although a bit slow for our liking. In fairness
