Swansea Bay Golf Club Neath

This historic and prestigious Golf Club founded in 1892 and constructed on the estate then owned by the Earl of Jersey, still remains proprietary owned today. This links course is a demanding Par 72, SSS 72 of some 6447 yards and is a true test to every golfer, with tight lies and undulating fairways with numerous natural dunes to contend with.

The Greens are very true and responsive and are classed as one of the best in the area all year round. The 18th green that sits proud at the front of the Clubhouse makes its presence felt by its colossal length of 60 yards. Hole 9 and 11 run parallel with the river Neath, with the 9th displaying a striking tidal inlet known as the Gulch, which is yet another unique and natural feature of this course.

The Club Pro Report

Lewis Jones opened the door to his new pro shop in the Autumn of 2016 and the pro shop has expanded and evolved since then. The team work on the model 'internet prices with a personal service' and this means that the team at Swansea Bay will price match any golf product that might be cheaper online.

Junior Academy Report

Lester was the main driving force for the junior academy getting off the ground in 2016. Since then the academy has grown with over 50 current members. He is a level 1 qualified coach. Lester organises all of the fixtures for all of the Junior team games including our new GolfSixes team. Lewis is the head coach for the Junior Academy alongside his PGA Assistants and our volunteer coaches.

The Clubhouse Report

The well appointed and comfortable clubhouse complements this wonderful course and visitors will always find a warm and friendly welcome here at Swansea Bay. The Clubhouse is open from 10.30am where you are welcome to enjoy freshly ground coffee and tasty bacon rolls to start your day off. Friendliest club I have visited.made to feel very welcome by the members and really enjoyed my day there. Course is a great mix of parkland and links. Weather will always play a part but that's why we love this game. Well worth a visit.

Very tired looking clubhouse. Course is ok with the exception of some tees and greens dangerously close to each other.
Looks rpun down. If you are an early bird the coffee machine n locker room is absolutely disgusting.

Used to hit golf balls down Waunarlwydd rugby field with my dog which was on a slant I can honestly say that the rugby pitch had better greens than the temps I was made to play today down swanse Bay!shame

Played here yesterday with my son ,i forgot how big a 18 hole coarse is lol,weather was cracking the coarse was just as good ,showers were hot and we were made welcome in the club house by the locals as we come from bristol.would defo play here again

Enoyable day's golf in one of the most unusual settings I have ever played. Beautiful Swansea Bay surrounding the course, with the motorway trundling high above you at times. Surreal... but I loved the course and location.

Took a group of nine players. Weather was dry and sunny. The course was in great shape considering this time of year. The greens were fantastic a pleasure to play there. We had a fantastic deal. The staff were brilliant nothing to much trouble. Will defiantly play there again. Highly recommended. Thank you so much to all concerned at Swansea bay golf club. S Curtis.
