At Poppits we emphasises the importance of children being active in their learning and also the way in which a carer's and parent can help children to develop. At Poppits we believe children learn when they are given appropriate responsibility, allowed to make errors, decisions and choices and respected as autonomous and competent learners.
We ensure children are emotionally secure and learning to make their own decisions. To learn by exploring and discovering by playing imaginatively with materials using all of the senses. This will develop their imagination - contributing to stories, drama, and the arts. Services
Our staff comprise of a blend of mature, experienced and professionally qualified Nursery Practitioner(s) and Teachers skilled in expertly guiding your child through the wonders of learning whilst playing. The staff are dedicated to treating your child with patience, affection, enthusiasm and understanding.
Meal times are a particularly good source of learning. All the children are encouraged to sit down together and serve themselves, placing an early emphasis on social graces and table manners. Children eat each meal with staff and peers in a family environment and they are encouraged to try a wide variety of foods and learn the skill of self help.
At poppits we encourage your child to appreciate the garden area. Our garden is designed so that the children can play outside in all weathers as we have soft surfacing and artificial grass. Our outside area has been fully designed with our ethos 'childcare with nature' and equipped to allow the children the freedom to play, using a mixture of imagination and physical environment.
