Situated just south of Stoke on Trent in North Staffordshire about a one hour drive from Birmingham and Manchester, the course is described as a "hidden gem". At 5831 yards it is not the longest of courses. It does, however, demand good course management due to the challenging layout. Limited memberships are currently available at Barlaston Golf Club in particular for ladies.
We also offer popular flexible memberships for the infrequent golfer. More information below. David Lynn former European Tour Player and former Barlaston Junior Member commented on the layout, it's a very strategic course and really makes you think. It taught me how to course manage and is a lot of fun.

Services
Players should always ensure that their line of play is clear before proceeding. Note particularly 7th, 11th and 14th holes - wait for the buzzer or bell to be sounded before driving off. Green staff has priority on the course at all times, please do not play until signalled to do so, the staff will make every effort to ensure that your game is not disrupted unnecessarily.
We are pleased to welcome Gemma Sargeant to the role of Finance Administrator, Gemma replaces Gill Scott who has retired after ten years in the position. Past Captains Paul Carr and Chris Havill have presented a cheque to the value of 1,355 to the Michael Lewis Foundation which was their chosen charity for their year of office.
Barlaston Golf Club has a beautiful eighteen hole course designed by Peter Alliss in the mid seventies. It is in part bordered by the River Trent and has many water features. The design and layout of the course provide a fair challenge to golfers of all abilities and requires good course management to achieve par.
Full membership offers access to the course and practice facilities 7 days a week with no time restrictions (subject to competitions and society bookings). A weekly bulletin provides details of upcoming events/competitions at the club and members can access the diary online. 5 day members can access the course Monday to Friday with no time restrictions (subject to competitions and society bookings).
A short par 4 that should be treated with respect. Fairway bunkers centre and right are well placed for catching the tee shot. A tee shot of 180-200 yds between the bunkers, will leave a short iron to the green which is protected by mounds at the front and a ditch on the left. The longer hitters can clear the water hazard; however, this requires a 275 yard carry and accuracy.

A few people from work have told me about this course and my neighbor did too. Been here a handful of times I have really enjoyed it. The staff in pro shop where nice and I got to speak to a few people that where playing the course. All where nice and polite.
I am new to playing golf and not a member of this course but I am hope to be a member soon.
