Michael's Mediterranean can be found in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town of Chipping Campden, just a moment away from the historic Wool Market building. Chef & Restaurateur Michael Alexiou bought Woolmarket House in 1986 and transformed it into the charming and unique restaurant it is today.
The building dates from circa 1720 and features two magnificent inglenook fireplaces. Dine in relaxed surroundings with the warm ambience of open fires in the winter, or on our pretty terrace in the summer. We offer traditional Greek cuisine, complemented by modern, Mediterranean dishes.

Services
From wedding parties and anniversary dinners, to birthday celebrations and hen nights, for the last 30 years Michael's has designed and delivered celebrations to remember! Our restaurant can accommodate 28 guests for private parties and we have devised a series of celebratory menus to choose from, or why not let us create a bespoke menu, tailored to your tastes?
Housed in the same 18th-century building as Michael's, Woolmarket House B&B offers the perfect country getaway. Full of period charm, each of the four rooms feature designer fabrics, treasured-antiques, large comfy beds, contemporary en-suite bathrooms and gorgeous-scented eco-friendly products to pamper yourself with.
The smell, quality and quantity of food was excellent, and we were impressed by the fast service, polite and helpful staff and reasonable price of the dishes for such great quality. It was a charming and unique restaurant and we felt very relaxed, enjoying the Greek & Mediterranean dishes and fresh fish served.

The staff are friendly here, but ignored the fact that I had not eaten my meal. I was not asked how my meal was, even though when they picked up my bowl at the end, you could clearly see a full bowl of soggy salad floating in dressing. I had ordered the trio of salads with the chargrilled minute steak. The steak was difficult to cut partly because it was placed on top of the salads which were swimming in the bowl of dressing. I asked for a plate so I could transfer the steak to a hard surface to cut it. The salads were soggy and the steak was not very tender. This dish needs to be reworked. On

The food was ok, it filled a gap. The young staff were nice, one more experienced, difficult staff member was not so enthusiastic. The drinks are very expensive compared with other local establishments - the food reasonably priced. Waited an hour for food to arrive, Moussaka (as was explained by the staff) is made earlier in the day, only heated up but very burned on top, and one tiny piece of halloumi inside instead of the stated 'layer' - no layers at all (!!) - my other half had a halloumi salad - very minimal with no dressing. It was also a chilly evening and we were seated outside, and found

Such a lovely find for our 3 day stay in the area. We were very lucky to get the booking as the restaurant was fully booked for a Sat nite. Sharing plates are huge & very tasty. I had the monkfish which was one of the specials. The food was amazing & service impeccable. We will be back as we love the area ❤
