This is a place that was recommended to us.
They have a 2 for £15 main course deal which is very good value.
We had starters and a main course which was 2 x steaks with a supplement of a £1 each which was very reasonable.
We asked for a bottle of the house red wine which we were told that it was merlot..... all good👍🏾 the surprise we had was when we got the bill to find out the house red was £16.95 a bottle. 😱 I would like to have seen the prices for there other wines as this is not a restaurant but a meal in a normal pub.
Don't get me wrong food, service and ambiance was good but

We've often holiday in the Cotswolds and usually baulk at the local pub meal prices. However this gem is an attractive pub with decent beers and friendly staff. On top of this were two for £15 on a wide range of quality homemade meals, including a decent selection of vegetarian options. We intend eating here again when we pass back through in a week's time.

Honestly I'd love to review this pub, but as we tried to gain entrance a couple of nights ago, and waited obediently for several minutes at the door by the sign "please wait to be seated" and were ignored by at least 3 staff who MUST have seen us - we left.
Loads of pubs and restaurants are emerging from covid regulations without making their customers feel as though they should feel grateful to be allowed in. Don't they need the money?
