Essence has been my favourite restaurant in Redditch for many years, the food and service just gets better and better always advice on the wide range of dishes and team are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for a nice evening dining out with the family and the deliveries are always amazing too.
Fresh, authentic, REAL Indian food cooked like it should be! I couldn't decide what to order so we had a Special Thali / a little dish of 5 things and it was delicious! Any dishes you like form the chef and house special section can be made with vegetables for vegetarians. All the dishes we have in this menu are made to order, so some dishes will take more time than others.

My favourite Indian restaurant. Met up with friends not seen for a while and the place to have a meal as usual is Essence. Very constant in service and food quality.
Brilliant food, tasty and great choices. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, especially if you don't quite know what to choose to eat, they will advise you.
Very enjoyable meal with great company. Hope it won't be too long before we visit again.

Service excellent but unfotunately our food was disapointing tonight.
There was very little chicken in and it was dry and hard. .
I wanted to say something but my partner asked me nott to.
So I hope the chef reads this. We asked for chicken tikka. Never ever had chicken like this befiore.

DON’T USE THIS PLACE - Worst Asian food/curry we’ve ever had! My wife and I went there for my 63rd birthday following a recommendation from someone. Food was tasteless mush, couldn’t even differentiate between the onion bhaji and vegetable pakora. The chicken tikka was dry and tasteless. Not surprisingly the main course was no better. Even the naan bread was cold and dry.
I have 40+ years’ experience of eating Asian food, many of which were when working around the West Midlands in areas such as Moseley, Aston, Allum Rock and Nechells. I know what a curry should taste like. I suspect that

We had a Valentine's Takeaway, first time using the app to order and collect... Been a while since had food from Essence. Found it to be very good and of excellent Value. Simple to order and ready at the time I asked for. The service from the staff was a good as ever. I found that they were dressed for work in these CoVid times a nice touch of class.

Delivery was expected at 6.40 .. cancelled at 10.30 as no show & no communication . Food arrived at 11.08 , we told the delivery driver we’d cancelled online due to how late it was he said “fair enough “ ! Now… they are saying they won’t refund as they were “busy” I understand this but over 4 hours , and no communication is not acceptable! Won’t be eating from here again !
