Manton Pre School Within Manton Village Hall
We are Manton Pre-School, an established (over 50 years) and popular pre-school providing exemplary education. We focus on following the statutory framework, The Early Years Foundation Stage, which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. We offer children aged two to five the opportunity to learn through play in a fun, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Manton Pre-School's staff and parent management committee are drawn from the local community and our pre-school strives to be responsive to the needs of that community. Manton Pre-School have been awarded the Bristol Standard status, acknowledging our commitment to maintain a high standard of childcare and our dedication to continued self-evaluation and improvement.
Services
Manton Pre-School, a non-profit making registered charity, has been operating from the Village Hall, Preshute Lane, Manton, since 1970. Based in a beautiful, quiet village location just outside the historical town of Marlborough in Wiltshire, it is registered to provide sessional childcare and education for children aged between two and a half and five years.
The committee is the legally registered provider of care at Manton Pre-School and as such is responsible for ensuring that the care and education provided by the staff meets legal obligations. We are always looking for additional helpers for specific fundraisers or activities and are very keen to welcome any support you feel you could give.
Children are expected to attend a minimum of two sessions per week, unless they are unable to do so for medical reasons, as they settle more quickly and build up stronger relationships with both the staff and other children. Our records show a direct link between sessions attended and levels of performance achieved in personal, social and emotional skills.
We have a lot of fun learning experiences planned to make the children's last term at preschool as memorable as possible and to help prepare them for "big school" in September. These activities will tie into the topic work that we are running throughout that term but with the aim of promoting the key skills they will need for starting school.
Please make sure all clothing is named, especially sweatshirts, sun hats, coats, boots and shoes. Please send your child to preschool appropriately dressed (warm clothing and waterproof coats in the winter/sun hats and sun-block in the warmer months).

As well as providing a clearly named bottle of sunblock for your child, which will be locked away at pre-school in order that staff can re-apply when necessary, we would ask that sunblock be applied at home prior to attending preschool.
