Longleaze pre-school and nursery in Wootton Bassett provides childcare for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. We are open from 9 -3 term time. As a setting we have decided to use the Bristol Standard to help us develop and improve the quality and effectiveness of our work. It is a way for us to continuously improve what we do rather than being a defined way of doing things that we have to achieve.

The Bristol Standard demonstrates our commitment to reflective practice, self-evaluation and continuous quality improvement. The philosophy of the Bristol Standard is that we can all 'improve on our previous best. The overall responsibility for running the pre-school sits with the committee made up of parents and other interested people.

Home Learning Report

Home learning has always been an important factor on a child's learning and development, we can work together to support this. As Parents / Carers, you are the primary teacher in your child's life, influencing their thoughts, feelings and experiences in the world. Your support and encouragement with their learning will have a positive effect on their development.

Sessions Report

All 3 and 4 year old's are entitled to up to 15 hours of free sessions a week from the start of the term after their third birthday. These are funded by the Government and the pre-school does all the work to claim the money. We'll just need you to complete a simple form. If you would like your child to attend more sessions you must pay for these.

Parents Report

As parents or carers you are the most important educators in your child's life and as a setting we aim to support you in this role. Every term you'll be sent a newsletter which will tell you about what's planned for the weeks ahead. This includes information on opportunities to get more involved in your child's experience with us.
