Services
Each week some of our sessions are led by our qualified staff from our woodland classroom. This is a half acre woodland with both broad leaved deciduous and evergreen trees, which is dedicated specifically to forest school. Free from walls and restrictions, the children are free to interact with an environment rich in natural resources.
We understand that choosing a Pre-School for your child is a very important decision and we hope to be able to help you with the information on this site (and please feel free to arrange a visit at any time). We offer a safe, nurturing environment in which each individual child is recognised, valued and supported to achieve their potential through meaningful play experience.
Each child has one special member of staff to relate to, which eases the settling in process. This key-working system gives each member of staff particular responsibilities to tailor the group's curriculum to the unique needs of each child, enabling the child to reach his or her full potential. The Keyworker maintains links with the child's family and records the ongoing assessments and developments of the children in their key-worker group.
This is how the Government and Early Years professionals describe the time in your child's life between birth and age 5. This very important stage in your child's development helps them get ready for school, as well as preparing them for their future learning and successes.
From when your child is born up until the age of 5, their early years experience should be happy, active, exciting, fun and secure and support their development, care and learning needs.Pre-Schools registered to deliver the EYFS must follow a legal document called the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, which explains how and what your child will be learning to support their healthy development, through 7 areas of learning and development.
