We are a child centred setting with children at the heart of everything we do, learning through play. We are a purpose built pre-school based in the grounds of Nursteed Community Primary School. Our team specialises in providing friendly and professional care and education for 3-4 year olds. Little Bears is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.

Services
The pre-school has a long standing history, opening in 1974 as the New Baptist Playgroup. Children who attend the group come from all over Devizes and go on to various local primary schools. We believe every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future life chances.
Children and staff come together to talk about the day ahead and share ideas and possibilities. Children can independently access toys and activities for an extended period of time. Research has proven that children are more engaged and motivated to learn when using their own experiences and interests to lead their play.
Our policy is to provide an environment in which children with special educational needs or disabilities are supported to reach their full potential. Our premises are purpose built offering disabled access including wide doorways and a ramp. Claire Lowe is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO).
