Booked for Sunday lunch 16 Jan 22. Arrived in good time and seated, service was good but the food was not only expensive (around £8.00 for starter and £18.00 for main) but the worst we have ever received anywhere. Starter (scallops) were overcooked dry and rubbery. Main (mine) was Beef which was tough as "old boots", this maybe due to afternoon tea cutlery, veg was ok (a little al dente), and the Yorkshire's re-heated and again tough, the gravy left an unpleasant after taste. Don't Chef's ever taste their own food ?? Wife ordered the Turkey lunch which was no better. We both decided to leave

Fabulous atmosphere and great beers. Didn't eat but menu looked lovely if a little pricey. Thoroughly recommended!

Super food with very friendly, helpful service. Little things like providing tap water would be good. But on requesting, it was immediately provided, as was extra gravy. Perhaps some of the starters could be lighter. Choice could be a wider. But overall great quality meal, comfortable surroundings and lovely atmosphere. We loved it and would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a very good couple of hours here with a Sunday roast after a circular dog walk … the beef was cooked to pink perfection and a very tasty nut roast! The team were on good form and made us feel welcome - cheers

Lovely pub and the landlord was so accomodating and helpful when we said the Bicester Hash House Harriers were coming on a Sunday lunchtime to make some noise and drink beer!! The hashers loved it and the landlord even threw in some free chips. The pub also does some delicious food but we stuck to the beer on tap!! The views of the Windmill are famous locally from the garden...

I just saw the pub on television again and wanted to reiterate my great experience at the pheasant at Brill.
I phoned to say I was running late due to traffic & Steven the manager/Chef immediately put me at ease and stated he’d specially keep my Sunday roast warm until I arrived for my booking. On arriving he bent over backwards to make I had my Sunday roast even though I was late arriving . The room upstairs was amazing and very clean. The bath was huge. On leaving I was given a lunch box for my long journey home . Amazing staff and great pub/ restaurant/ hotel. I look forward to returning

Lovely place. Had a fantastic lunch at a very reasonable price. Not rip off "gastro Pub" overpriced nonsense. A really good experience overall. Friendly and efficient staff.

This is a review for the accommodation as we did not use the pub/restaurant apart from breakfast.

2x internal rooms to the pub and 2x external rooms in the beer garden. The internal rooms are the larger and more luxurious and all are in good condition with a modern, contemporary feel.

The staff were fantastically accommodating and breakfast was of a good quality however you will get a full English unless you specify in advance.

The Pheasant is a delightful English country pub in the village of Brill in Buckinghamshire. Completely remodeled throughout, this is a bright and cozy place to have a pint or two of local "real" ale or a bite to eat. The Pheasant also offers lodging, with two very nicely appointed rooms to chose from. When I stayed there recently, I was put up in the room with an enormous upstairs bathroom. The bathroom, which features a deep, freestanding bathtub, was as big as the bedroom below. The bed and linens were very comfortable, leading to a restful night sleep.
