The Old Swan
The Old Swan is a traditional, Grade II listed 15th Century pub, dating back 400 years. It is believed that the building originally comprised of three cottages, which whilst over the years has undergone various refurbishments, everything possible has been done to enhance its original features.

With the decorative low beams and the fireplaces stripped back to almost their original condition, our public house is one of the most beautiful sights in the village today.Cheddington Village also appears in the History books, where in 1963 it featured in the national press as it was near the location of the "Great Train Robbery" of 1963 at Bridego Railway Bridge, in the hamlet of Ledburn.
Services
Both The Old Swan in Cheddington and The Unicorn in Cublington sit under the independently owned The Sandridge Pub Company. Under the watchful eye of experienced pub owner Nell Saint and General Manager Paul Darvell, our pubs are renowned for genuinely great pub food with excellent levels of service.
Driven by our community outlook, we also support and promote locally sourced produce. We are incredibly fortunate that we have such an amazing supply chain for our pubs, and this includes a variety of top-quality local breweries. Below are just some of the fantastic businesses we work with in order to deliver such great service to our customers.
The heartbeat of The Old Swan is our people values and community spirit. We achieve this by forming lasting friendships and creating memorable moments with everyone we meet. In many ways, our location being straddled between Bucks, Beds and Herts, perfectly illustrates the eclectic mix of our customers and the extensive reach across the many neighbouring towns.
