Services
At Goodly Dale we recognise the importance of knowing every child and work hard to foster the vital partnership between home and school. Parents and visitors to our school often comment on the warm and friendly welcome in our school. We aim for every child to have a happy, active and enriched primary education in an environment that is caring and supportive.
For teachers to have the opportunity and resources to 'build on success' and improve teaching to the benefit of the children, whilst achieving their own personal goals. Regularly review and refresh the School Development Plan to ensure challenging targets are set and achieved. Ensure the consistent and regular monitoring of the standards of teaching, learning and pupil assessment (both formal and informal).
Our governing body has twelve volunteer governors who bring with them a wide range of professional skills, knowledge and experience to support the school in achieving its vision. With the exception of Pay Review which meets once a year, all these committees meet only as required and in exceptional circumstances.
Please note: If you are in receipt of working tax credits you may not be eligible for free school meals or clothing grants. Children who receive Income Support or Income Based Jobseekers Allowance in their own right are also entitled to receive Free School Meals. Free schools meals are available to statutory school aged children attending full time education full days only e.g.
Parents/carers of children in reception year to the end of year 11 are responsible for ensuring their child's attendance at school. This means that parents/carers are responsible for their child's transport arrangements.
However, if you live further away than the statutory walking distance from your catchment or nearest qualifying school or you fall within the "low income group", transport arrangements are the County Council's responsibility for children until the end of Year 11.Such transport is free. Alternatively print off and complete the application for school transport and post it to the address stated.
