Services
The vision statement on the home page, together with this values statement here, have been drawn up by the staff and governors of Clanfield C of E Primary School. It underpins our continuing work for the development and growth of the school. Children are individuals and our provision reflects individual needs.
The Reception class provides a broad and balanced curriculum which embraces the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. In Reception, we focus on the development of the whole child as an individual. During your child's time in Ruby class, they will experience a wide variety of engaging and inspiring activities designed to enable them to flourish and blossom into their best selves.
In Topaz Class we aim to inspire our children by fostering a love of learning in an inclusive environment with an 'every child can' attitude. Full immersion in our termly topics mean that children are able to fully nurture their creativity and curiosity in line with the 5 strands of the Clanfield Curriculum.
Our Foundation Stage provides a secure, happy and caring environment in which children learn through purposeful and carefully planned play. The early years of a child's life are an important stage where the foundations for future development are established.

In the Foundation Stage, we foster the child's own interests, needs and stages of development and offer activities which extend, enrich and develop potential both inside and outside the classroom.Purposefully planned, playful activities and first hand experiences are the key to learning, laying the foundations for the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Agreeing the school improvement strategies which includes approving the budget and agreeing the staffing structure. The Chair of Governors is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the governing board. They set the agenda for Governing Board meetings and, if necessary, can take urgent decisions in between meetings.
