Services
Having relocated many times as a child due to my Dad being in the army, I settled in Scunthorpe at the age of 10 where I went to school, college and eventually took a job on the Scunthorpe Steelworks. Whilst working on the steelworks I earned a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature at the Open University.
We hope that you find this information about our After School Club useful. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the School Office or a member of the After School Club staff. To provide child care facilities for Primary school age children (Reception to Year 6) from 3:30pm until 5:30pm every week day during term time.
In addition to this, we would do everything possible to ensure that a member of staff was at school to meet those children whose parents had not heard the announcement. If the school is already open, and snow conditions worsen, then parents are welcome to collect their children early if they feel that they would be unsafe if left until the end of the normal school day.
As education is a partnership between home and school, we believe that it is important to regularly share information. Of course, parents are always welcome to phone school or speak to the staff to book an appointment at anytime throughout the year. In fact this is far better than waiting for a formal meeting as things can be sorted out immediately.
We follow the statutory requirements for the Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. These can be found below. Our children learn to read using the Read Write Inc. phonics scheme, published by Oxford University Press. For more specific details of the curriculum in each year group, please use the links to individual year group pages in the children's section.
