Our website provides us with an opportunity to celebrate the success of our children and share the learning experiences they have with a wider audience. Bushmills Primary is a school at the centre of its community. We appreciate the support of a loyal body of parents who enthusiastically participate in the life of the school.

The school has a motivated and dedicated teaching staff who work hard to ensure each child is happy here in Bushmills. The children are at the very heart of Bushmills Primary and our vision statement is 'Building a Causeway to Success'. We welcome children from lots of different backgrounds and cultures and we value and cherish everyone as a unique individual.
Services
Bushmills Primary School believes that every child is entitled to enjoy his/her childhood. They should be valued for their individuality, culture and heritage. They should be encouraged to develop their full potential in a safe, stimulating and caring environment so that they can make their best contribution to society.
Governors are responsible for ensuring that the teachers have the necessary facilities to provide a curriculum which meets the requirements of the Education Order and for producing a policy in relation to the curriculum.

Governors are required to ensure that the appropriate arrangements are made for the admission of pupils to the school and for drawing up criteria which will be used for selection in the event that the number of pupils seeking to be enrolled exceeds the number of places available.
We cannot overstate the role of parents in supporting their children and in supporting the school. An effective partnership with parents is encouraged at all times. Parents are welcome at any time to make arrangements to meet the class teacher or principal. Parent/teacher interviews, which take place twice a year, provide an opportunity to discuss their child's progress.
At Bushmills Primary School we operate a Healthy Break Policy. Healthy break tuck shop is provided in our school canteen for every pupil in the school, serving toast, bagels, potato bread and a selection of fruit each item coasting from 25p - 50p. Each day children are provided with a variety of activities to enhance their Numeracy and Literacy skills in a relaxed manner through games and ICT.
