Balmore Golf Club

Golf in Glasgow doesn't get any better than being out on the course at Balmore. Founded in 1907 on the grounds of Glenorchard Estate and designed by golf's first superstar Harry Vardon (winner of the British Open a record six times), our exceptional parkland golf course is set in a beautiful location with vast open spaces, mature trees and abundant wildlife.

Our 10-acre golf practice facility is one of the largest and best to be found at a Gollf Club in Scotland, boasting 2 short game greens (one of which is USGA specification) and a teeing area so that you can practice all facets of your golf game - or simply warm up before your match. We have now developed a 6 hole par-3 course within the practice area, ideal for all from novices to those needing to hone their short game.

Play Glasgow's best golf course whenever you like! Memberships in all categories are available and there is no entry fee. We offer various membership options to suit your lifestyle and budget.

A secluded 18 hole parkland golf course, designed by Harry Vardon. The course is widely admired and in excellent condition throughout the year, with recent investment in new machinery. Extensive 10 acre practice areas, including 2 USGA greens. These superb facilities have been chosen by Dumbartonshire Golf Union for their junior coaching programme.

We recognise that junior golfers are the future of the game and of our club, so to this end we enthusiastically promote junior golf initiatives. Currently, full junior membership is from age 12 and costs only 125. We also offer 'Academy' junior memberships for children aged 9-11yrs at just 65.

This allows younger juniors to use our practice facilities and 6 hole mini course (under adult supervision) to learn the basics and improve their game until ready to take on the full size golf course.Juniors are encouraged to become active members of the club. They have their own competitions section and sponsored club teams.
